I called Mom and Dad this morning and they're not at home. My bet is that they've gone out for a drive, Dad with his camera, to look at the devastation from the storm. I can probably expect to see some interesting photos in the mail.

According to my friend James people are driving the 30 miles from Halifax to Chester just for coffee due to the blackout and that there were hundreds of people in Peggy's Cove and on the Halifax waterfront watching the storm last night. He said, "Oh it's a hurricane, we'd better find a good place to watch it". LOL.

My hat is off to the efforts of these rather hirsute gents yet I must say that personally facial hair is not for me. I've had a goatee and moustache before but felt like I was dirty all the time so I shaved it off. Tasting the soup you had for lunch in the evening is gross.

Of course, beards are better than back hair but I suspect some of the guys at the link above are sporting both.

He also turned me onto a band called Fu Manchu (their stuff is on StonerRock in the MP3 section) specifically the song Squash that Fly. There's nothing better to wake you up in the morning than a little acid rock. I think I'm having flashbacks listening to this stuff.
