Former President Ronald Reagan Dies at 93
Nancy, his wife, suffered with him in his long fight with Alzheimer's disease. She used to walk with him every morning through their Hollywood neighbourhood even though he basically didn't even know where he was.
Interestingly enough the press, who could have taken photos of the President in his infirmed state kept their distance. Perhaps not all reporters are sensationlistic lookie loos.
Anyway, although not liked by everyone he was the President of the United States for two terms and will be (has been)missed. Our condolences to the family.

I was about the same age when he was elected. Like you, he was really my first introduction to US politics. The thing I'll remember most about him though, wasn't anything he ever actually did. On September 11th, when the towers went down, I remember listening to the radio in my car, and like everyone else at the time, wondering where was Bush. I remember listening to a CNN feed talking about how, if Reagan was still in power, we wouldn't need to guess where he was, he'd be on the front steps of the Whitehouse daring terrorists to take another pass. Whether you agree with his politics or not, he gave the American people, and we as Canadians, whether we care to admit it or not, a sense of protection. This man would stand between Us and the Enemy.

Can we have our country back now that he and Mulroney are no longer sleeping together?
