I don't know what to say about this. It's too awful to even try to get my head around.

An earthquake, being called the largest on Earth in 40 years, registering 8.9 on the Richter scale happened overnight off the west coast of Northern Sumatra. Tsunamis have killed an estimated 8000 people in Sri Lanka, Indonesia and surrounding areas.

Dimebag Darrell dead in club shooting

Former Pantera guitarist Dimebag Darrell and four others killed in Ohio concert shooting. Sad. However, with a nickname like Dimebag, not a surprise.

Thanks to Graham for the heads up on this bit of news. I saw the story yesterday but didn't really pay it any heed. Yikes.
