Last night Moosh, our 12 year old Springer Spaniel sat on the stairs and shook uncontrollably; visibly afraid. As there wasn't anything going on we were really concerned as to why she was so confused. She's steadily, over the last year, begun to display symptoms of Cognitive Disorder ('Senility'). The onset has been so gradual that we didn't really think anything was wrong until last night's episode. Today the vet confirmed that she probably is experiencing CDS. I feel really sad. I don't like the thought of our dog losing her mind, but it seems like a reality we have to face. There's always Prozac... *sigh* Poor Moosh.
