hmmm...I finished the book in 2 days and found it rather profound to say the least..and yes, I doubted some of the stories he related - now it makes sense that an investigation into the validity of the novel is taking place...perhaps, should take place but I still liked the book very much. Factual or fictional, it was an emotional read. I even watched James Frey on Oprah and could notice some of the "fury" he is still going through when she was speaking to his parents....eeeerrrry...or is he a very good actor??

Reminds me of someone with the first initial R who when confronted with many little hungry ears conveniently appropriated all the best stories she ever heard and made them her own including the swinging from many chandeliers, there aren't too many chandeliers you can swing from unless you pack around a 20 foot ladder on your binges and as someone who works in construction they are not mounted in such a way to carry hundreds of pounds above thier own weight. The ones made with 3/4 inch wire rope that need to be mounted from steel I beams are not big sellers. I didn,t buy much of R's shit either but in defense of the guys book you gotta sell the concepts with some entertainment, it can't all be story after story where I vomited again, hid in my closet till I ran out of crack and repeat, I think Hunter S Thompson may have exaggerated too and I loved that freak!!
