Carol and I both had the tough job of lounging about on a ski boat on a beautiful Sunday this summer. What a great time we had. Here’s a slideshow of the photos I took for the recent BC Wakeboarding Championships:
These are some sorely disappointed Canucks fans. We were watching on the jumbo outdoor screen at Hamilton and Georgia during the first period of game 4 of the Stanley Cup Final 2011 against the Boston Bruins. The Bruins had just scored their first goal at this point, but those are some sad faces. It got worse… ugh
I took this photo from the balcony outside the 9th floor lunch room in Shaw Tower with my new camera. I am very happy with the Nikon D5100. I still have lots to learn, but for the price point I couldn’t turn it down as my first DSLR. Carol’s already got one but this is the first one I have to drag around with me.
The tilt shift effect is an in camera effect. I like “in camera” better than buying an expensive lens or having to do it in post. It doesn’t look as faked.
When Carol and I lived in Maple Ridge the Haney Hawgs motorcyle shop was right now the street. They are supposedly affiliated with a certain well known motorcycle club. We went to their show and shine in 2004 and I took some photos.
Here’s a slide show of some of the better ones:
The Show and Shine is usually the last weekend in May, but I can’t seem to find any information about this year’s.
I’m going through some of my older photos and giving them an update with Lightroom. This one was taken outside of the Convention Center in San Diego, CA on the evening of May 17, 2004.
A yummy drink that Carol whipped up for us. It should go along nicely with the Hamburger Helper. Sometimes I eat like an 8 year old. Oddly enough, sometimes I still act like an 8 year old.
