H 0 S T E L - PRESENTED BY QUENTIN TARANTINO, WRITTEN & DIRECTED BY ELI ROTH

After months of waiting for Hostel to come to DVD Carol and I finally watched this last night.

Eli Roth, director of Cabin Fever, has delivered once again for gore horror fans. Roth even blogged while promoting the film. LionsGate rocks!

If you are at all sqeamish this is not a movie you'll enjoy. Based on "true facts" of global travellers' horrific experiences Hostel takes gore and violence to a new lows with horrifically stark and intense torture scenes reminiscent of the Cronenberg's Videodrome signal.

If you're a horror fan take the chance with Hostel, but you'll spend some time peeking through your fingers and may require a barf bucket.

After watching Hostel when Carol and I travel we will have Canadian flags sewn onto almost every stitch of clothing and luggage we're carrying. I would not enjoy having my nipples chopped off in some dank basement in Prague mistaken for an Ugly American.

Here's G4 TV's Chris Gore with his review of the DVD:
