I grew up close to Oak Island as have been there many times. I’m not sure what I believe. I’ve read a few books on the subject, there are many theories, but no one really has enough evidence to prove things one way or the other. One day they’ll figure it out. There is a company who has bought the rights to dig there, however financial and legal snags have halted most of the research there. It would be cool if there really were a treasure.

I saw the results of this when I was going to catch the West Coast Express the other day. There were at least 6 emergency vehicles in front of Waterfront Station and I could see EMT’s and Firemen down by the tracks trying to save this person. Very sad. I usually assume it’s some poor suicidal schmuck who flings him/herself in front of the train, however, the number of accidents involving visually impaired people is really disconcerting.
