Ken, one of the generous donors to my campaign said I should start rubbing some rogaine on my upper lip as the growth appears to be slow. I really think that things have stalled. I am not sure what the problem is as my moustache usually grows like weeds. Perhaps my mo’ hairs have stage fright. They’ve never been photographed so much.

I am no officially not enjoying the feeling of that thing on my face. I almost absentmindedly shaved it off this morning, but caught myself before the first slice. I do not want to fail at growing facial hair. That would be embarrassing.

Carol snapped a different perspective of the mo’ for his evening’s shot. Thought it best to shake things up a bit and not highlight the zit glowing like Rudolph’s nose in the middle of the frame.

Still, that is a cavernous and oddly finger sized nostril you have there Mike. Yuck!

We noticed tonight when the Canucks were pounding the tar out of the Minnesota Wild that there were players on that team sporting mo’s. My suspicions were confirmed by the commentators who made reference to Movemeber.

Several players are growing mustaches in support of Movember, which “changes the face of men’s health” and raises funds for the Prostate Cancer Foundation. Cal Clutterbuck’s stache is in full force, and Petr Sykora is rocking the handle bar stache like Greg Zanon. Kyle Brodziak’s is slightly less apparent, and was the subject of much unprintable ribbing from his teammates. [source]

Even though the Wild suck at hockey (at least for this game) I will give props where due. Way to go Wild Mo Bros!

My mo’ has entered an uncomfortable adolescence. You know, those gawky in between years when it isn’t really clear what the heck you are going to turn out like. Here’s what I mean:

That’s just plain horrendous. The moustache is bad enough, but add some matching nostril hairs and I look like a hairy youngster of Sicilian decent who’s parents are telling him to shave the ugly thing off his face. I really do hope this improves.

It is for a cause however, so I forge heroically ahead.

We are only three days into Movember and it seems as though my mo is making an appearance. The evidence is below in today’s photo:
