Digging Out in Newfoundland

People in Vancouver were stymied by a huge snowstorm over the weekend. A whole two inches had the local news and weather people preaching apocalypse and the inexperienced BC drivers were careening into one another at a horrific rate. Thank God it stopped before it hit three inches.

On the other hand, as some of you know, the hearty folks in Newfoundland are used to a bit of snow. Following are some pictures that my pal Big Al Mac sent me of people happily digging out after a snowfall in NFLD:





Now that’s a winter.
