I love it. Backpedalling is great, especially long after the fact. Someone probably actually had to point the faux pas out to Mr Swaggart. I can hear it now:
Publicist: “Jimmy, the gay thing… Not good. You should probably apologize.”
Jimmy: “You queer or something?”
Hmmmm… Aren’t we all God’s kids? I guess not according to Jimmy.
