Vancouver police break laws policing poor: report

I’ve heard horror story after horror story about the VPD and their practices. Until now I’ve taken things with a couple of grains of salt. Perhaps a few less now. This report makes a lot of interesting allegations against the cops here in our fine city. Especially in relation to the Downtown East Side (Notoriously Canada’s poorest Postal Code). I’m Some of these allegations may (and probably are) exaggerated or even untrue due to the nature and disposition (drug addicts and alcoholics) of a lot of the people reporting. However, there are enough of them to warrant at least a third, impartial party’s investigation.

If the police have truly been treating people the way it is purported they are, no wonder this has happened. If the cops don’t care it’s kind of hard to get things done.
