Carol, notorious for renting bad movies like Shanghai Knights just last night, also brought hom a little film called May. May played by Angela Bettis (also from the recent made for TV Carrie remake and Girl Interrupted) has been a societal outcast her entire life due to a lazy eye. As she has no friends other than a doll her mother made she decides to make one of her own. But where is she to get the parts fr her friend? Hmmmmm. This is one creepy movie. At first I thought, “why is this classified as horror?” The first two acts of the film were May’s being driven further and further away from society and deeper into herself. The last act of the film is where it all unravels for May. Holy crapola! This turned out to be one fine horror movie. One I need to pick up for my collection. Carol finally picked a good one. Way to go Mrs B.
