Woodward’s – The Future of Woodward’s . . .

After the recent sidewalk protest by the folks concerned with and living in Vancouver’s downtown East Side, the old Woodward’s building has become a symbol of the plight of the drug addicted and homeless in that community. Tonight (Thursday, May 22 at 9:30 p.m.) at the corner of Hastings and Cambie streets the City of Vancouver will be relighting the huge red W at the top of the building as a symbol of hope for the future revitalization of that area. If nothing else it will add to the Vancouver skyline.
