I posted some photos and a message claiming to have come from a police officer in Coquitlam last week. Apparently it was a hoax. According to Lance, the person he got the letter and photos from found out they were faked.
I have removed the post so don’t bother looking for it. I’m sure that the two individuals in the photos would be horrified to know that their photos were involved in any way with a murder investigation. I regret posting them and hope their reputations were in now way harmed. I will notify the people involved the next time I want to be a Good Samaritan to confirm the story. Better safe than sorry.
Perhaps some idiot thought it would be funny to send this around, knowing that it would get a lot of attention because it involved the murder of a 19 year old girl. I don’t think it’s funny at all and frankly hope the police get in on it. Not only is it sick, a young girl was brutalized and murdered, it’s also illegal. Impersonating a police officer is a serious offense.
Who ever you are, Karma is coming. It always does.
