Here is the list of nominees for the 76th Academy Awards. It looks as though it’s going to be an interesting race this year in many categories.

Best Picture looks too close to call. I’ve seen all but Mystic River so before I make any picks in that regard I think I’ll give it a look.

Just for fun, before the Oscar ceremonies, I’ll give my predictions as to winners.

The Canucks won again 4 to 1 last night in kind of a laugher against the Nahsville Predators. The Vancouver goalie, Dan Cloutier, was in fine form last night save for the 40 footer scored on him by Tootoo. Cloutier, known for being a hothead (see this fight [4.22 mb MPG] between he and Salo whne he was in Rangers uniform), has been doing much better lately. When he can keep his temper he does well, but when he loses it, this happens:
