Okanagan Park Fire Video

Pauly sent me this link to the Okanagan Park Fire Video. The scenes were fairly interesting. Who added the cheesy Degrassi Junior High music to the video. It was just slightly over the top. Argh! A little limp in points. A very Canadian production.

Looks like the company who put this together will get some traffic to their site. I’m never quite sure how I feel about this kind of thing. If it were an individual who created this, fine, but it was a media company. Perhaps their hearts were in the right place, but there’s just a hint of exploitation of a terrible situation. My spidey-sense tells me the motives here were not all altruistism or gratitude to the people who put their necks on the line.

Mars comes close tonight

It’s the big day for Earth and Mars today. Not in 60,000 years have the two planets been so close. Perhaps it’s time to rush out and buy a telescope and look up at the (hopefully) cloudless sky to see a happy face crater.

The 17-inch silver screen

“How do you make sure your movie gets maximum exposure? Simple: release it on the internet. Guy Clapperton talks to the makers of This Is Not a Love Song, who have done just that.”

Thanks to Jackson for the link.

This is very similar to the ideas I have around marketing my Zombie movie (Yes! You heard it here first) currently in development. It may take me years to get it done. Heck the writing is really just beginning, but it’s kind of fun planning a whole alternate universe. It’s called UnDeadTV and here’s the placeholder page I’ve done for my little flick. I can’t really go into too much detail right now, but let’s just say you’ll be lucky to get out alive. 😉
