Talking Cats

Here’s a video that Scotty sent. People teaching cats to speak = too much time on one’s hands. The last cat singing a made up song about “Don piano” is rather creepy.

Farting Saucers

<%flashvideo(farting-saucers.flv" />

So my Canucks shat the bed again this evening. I needed something to cheer myself up. What better to do that than an old video of folks at an amusement park to odd French muzak. Nice!

Yes the black screen at the beginning is about 2 seconds too long but it’s fun all the same.

‘Sopranos’ Cast Demands Pay Raise

Cast members of hit mafia series The Sopranos are demanding higher salaries after the show’s bosses extended the period over which they will broadcast the final 20 episodes. Stars including Michael Imperioli, who plays Tony Soprano’s hotheaded nephew Christopher, and Lorraine Bracco, who plays Tony’s shrink, Dr. Melfi, are having their pay renegotiated after insisting that splitting the series is equivalent to two season’s work rather than one, according to the Wall Street Journal. However, bosses at HBO disagree, claiming that all 20 episodes are still part of the same season and do not warrant double pay. Sopranos star James Gandolfini has already successfully renegotiated himself a $1 million deal for each of the final eight shows, and more minor characters hope to follow suit. Despite the confusion, a spokesman for HBO is adamant cast members will not stage a walkout: “We’re confident that everyone will be signed for the last eight episodes.”

All due respect… they just want what’s comin’ to them.

A Canucks Fan

I started up a Canucks only blog right here: A Canucks Fan. Hopefully, I’ll have lots to post about well into June if you get my drift. So, unless the Canucks win the Stanley Cup I won’t be posting much about them here any more. There will be hockey posts once in a while. Go Canucks Go!

Vancouver Pillow Fight 2006

Vancouver compositor and editor Geoff Richardson (blog and main site) went to the Vancouver Pillow Fight 2006 with his video camera. I would have liked to have gone to this. Solicited assault with a feather pillow is a nice way to work out some aggression without maiming someone. I could have used this when the deaf 93 year old man next door allowed his car alarm to go off for an hour this morning under our dining room window.

Geoff did a fabulous job covering this fun looking event (his reel is impressive too). Anyway, you can download the high resolution Quicktime version right here or watch the YouTube version here on the site by clicking the read more link.

Leprechaun in Alabama

Mark from HollywoodNorthReport.com sent this along. I know its a little late for another St Patricks Day post, but I found it amusing all the same. Apprently there’s a Leprechaun in Alabama. The video doesn’t show footage of the creature but all the hooplah around it. It’s like Mardi Gras…
